Switching to EE Broadband from another ISP under a different billpayer?

We are currently considering switching our home's Broadband connection from TalkTalk to EE. However, the current TalkTalk connection is under another occupant of the house's name and we were wanting for me to take longer responsibility for the service.

Yes, the current TalkTalk contract has passed and we are on a low speed service for the moment.

Would attempting to switch the ISP and billpayer cause problems during the switch? If so, What extra steps should I take?

Hey there,

You'll be absolutely fine. Place an order on the EE website using your address and your details as the bill payer. As part of the order journey, they'll notify TalkTalk that the service is being taken over (takes 10 working days). The TalkTalk account holder will receive a 'sorry you're leaving' comms which can be ignored.

Once the line switches to EE, the TalkTalk account holder will receive their final bill (with no early termination as you mentioned you're out of contact).

Happy days 👍
