Installer told me I could get a free WiFi adapter card for my PC

When I had my broadband installed recently, the installer told me I could contact my broadband provider to get a free WiFi adapter card for my PC, which has not got one.

But when I called ee the person at the end of the line said they had not heard of such an offer.

Was the installer telling porkies, or is there actually such an offer?

Yes, he was telling porkies. He's not even part of EE & cannot promise what they offer or not.
