Hi..
Changed from virgin 500 to EE 900 a month ago and so far been really disappointed with the speeds to devices and laptop teams meeting or PS5 frequently dropping out and lagging.
I think I have included the information need. How can I improve this to a more stable and faster wifi connection... unfortunately hardwiring everything is not an option at this time.

TTB is that the thinkbroadband one?
If so just tried it again on same device but from the kitchen. 1 wall 4m distance and it was down to 55 download

@Iamlee Buy an Asus XT9, and throw the piece off junk back in it's box until you need to return it at the end off the contract!

Is that the issue... just a poor quality router?
Would replacing it with an XT9 make significant improvements?
Or would a multiple mesh system work better?

I did borrow a friend's old Asus ZenWiFi AC (CT8) AC3000 Tri-Band but there didn't seem any improvement. Although I didn't change any settings on the EE hub.

@Iamlee To use the CT8, plug the Asus wan connection into the lan connection of the EE router, set the CT8 for Wireless Router operation, once it shows you it's online and connected, then connect to it's wireless ssid and see how it goes from there.

Ok thank you. Not back until sunday so I will try that and update you.
If not may have to look at other routers as cannot put up with another 22 months like this lol

Is your connection on your phone WiFi settings set to metered or unmetered?
I had poor speeds on a family members android phone, switching to unmetered tripled the WiFi speed.

No idea.. didn't even know that was a thing.. Will have a look.

Picking the Asus CT8's up tomorrow so will give them a try.
Just plugged my laptop into the router and ran TBB. Result was 935 mps. Then unplugged and connected via wifi. Result was 135mps and I was literally sat infront of the hub.
