Smart Hub 7 Plus Port Forwarding Issue

Hi All,

Another Issue with the Hub 7 Plus, probably on others too.

When i create a Port forwarding rule, it always comes up with an error and doesn't save or eventually when it does save, it has created duplicate rules. Try to remove one and it removes both, aaarrrgghh! These EE hub are very frustrating.

I hope someone who can help sees this and my other post, to help fix these issues.

@jsviper77 Although good to raise, you are going to need info from another 7 Plus user, just so new, but do think there is some FW out there, here are the two i know off from a user on the Forum!

Smart Hub 7 Plus
FW: r3.29.4-R-1511690-PROD-84001 and the gui is at App version 3.7.4 19/12/2025
FW: r3.35.15-R-1597208-PROD-84001 and the gui is at App version 3.11.2 19/12/2025

@JimM11 I'm on the later one of the two of those firmware versions. Maybe some other users will comment.  Maybe most don't use it that technically,

Only 3 days in,  already regretting it.

@jsviper77 You must be needing the EE for the landline only if not why are you even using it!

Think i saw you had EERO hanging on the back of the 7 Plus Router?

@JimM11 I don't have a landlines with EE. I'm only using it for the compatible wifi for the Sky Q system. Which then requires it to handle the DHCP.

@jsviper77 ? why, does the EERO not have a DHCP server and take the sky Q into it!

Recieved 7 plus today,  replacing bt smart hub. Port forwarding (ports 80 and 443) worked fine on bt hub. Despite spending all day creating rules, restarting and deleting, it just does not work.  Intermittently 443 works, 80 never works

Totally fed up with this new ee router. Useless piece of junk

@Pecbeck Why are you messing with those two common ports?

Messing? I use them for my reverse proxy manager to access my self hosted apps from the Internet. That's standard practice,  hardly "messing"Thanks for your constructive commentSent from my Galaxy

Im in a similar position to you, can't get the port forwarding to work. I think it's due to the other issue about static IP address not working (https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/Broadband-Landline/Smart-Hub-plus-7-Always-use-this-IP-address-Issue/t...) and this has apparently been reported and fixed, awaiting a firmware release, but trying to get a firm answer on when that will be is like getting blood from a stone.
