Smart Hub 3 (SH31b) Older WiFi device issues

JC4040

We  recently moved from  BT to EE and  have never managed to get older Wifi devices connected (including house alarm) .

We have firmware versionr1.35.0-R-1138091-PROD-83002.

I understand that I in "Manage your Wireless - Advanced settings "  I should be able to see an option for  "Main" and 'Compatible Wifi'  setups & the latter would enable me to create a separately named WiFi Network & try connect them to the compatible network instead .

I do not appear to have that option .  How do I get a firmware upgrade and how can I locate the Compatible wifi option ?

@JC4040   There is nothing you can do to force a firmware update, other than making sure the router is connected to your broadband line. Updates are automatically downloaded, although it may take a day or two.

@JC4040 As @Mustrum Pointed out it's a waiting game, FW was first muted in early Dec, and subsequently super seeded by a newer version probably to fix something wrong in the short lived first one, but seems to be on the rollout again, so until you get then you just have to wait, the latest posted as off the other day is below so you know for the EE Smarthub+. User's have jumped on doing as you would like to try, only unknown is DOES it get through Smart wireless Extenders or fail at that like the Guest Network option. NEVER had a device fail to connect, had to try a few different options to get there though!!

FW: r2.68.16-R-1296172-PROD-83002 and the gui is at App version 2.36.4.

In the meantime :

Try on the Advanced > Wireless Settings page to temporarily disable the 5 GHz WiFi band & move off the Smart channel while connecting problematic 2.4 GHz devices.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.
