Had an electrician in yesterday doing a few jobs and although he didn’t go near the tv or the router, we have now lost the internet connection. Can someone help us get it back please.

Yay! Clicked on home on the remote and just above he apps on display ther was a box, perhaps an app called Samsung plus. Clicked on that  and in doing so recovered all of the missing channels. Would never have done it without the help of you guys especially James who led the way., so thanks to all who contributed to the thread.

Which router? Does the router's SSIDs show up in the TV's list of networks seen?

I am a very, very, old burger and I am hoping that you have the  patience , tolerance and  understanding to help me on the road to the recovery of my tv’s internet facility . At the moment this bewilders me, “Which router? Does the router's SSIDs show up in the TV's list of networks seen? . and after an hour i am no further forward..  Perhaps you or someone else will be kind enough to help me muddle my way through.

@Sailing1   have you tried switching the router, and the TV off for a minute or so, then back on again?

If that does not work, how is the TV connected to the router?

And do you have other devices connected - if so are they working ok?

Hi and thank you for your reply.  1.  Yes I switched off the router for a minute following your advice.   2.  The tv has a wireless connection, and 3.  Yes, I do have other devices connected to the router including my phone and the iPad I’m using at the moment.

Correction:  I switched off the router and the tv for the minute and not just the router.

Hi @Sailing1,

You may just need to re-enter your WiFi name and password on your TV.

If your open the menu, you should see a Network option. In the network settings you should see an option to set up a wireless connection.

If you can give me the model number of your TV, I'll do my best to find a step by step guide for you.

Hope this helps. 🙂

James

Thank you once again James. I followed your instructions and my tv is once again connected to the internet according to the screen information. That said all of the Samsung channels have disappeared and I am left with Freeview. Any idea how I might recover these please?

Hi @Sailing1,

Is this via the Samsung TV Plus app?

James

I’m sorry but I have absolutely no idea as to the source. However, looking at the apps via the source button on the remote control, I see that I have the Samsung Pro app installed.  When I try to access the app, the message appears that the server is down for maintenance and that I should try again later.
