Problem with WiFi calling with EE mobile and EE Full Fibre broadband and WiFi 7

My mobile signal at home is poor. So I rely on WiFi calling. However, I have had continuous complaints from pretty much everyone I talk to when I am using WiFi calling (during a standard mobile call). I can hear the other party on the calls perfectly, but they say I am impossible to understand; breaking up and garbled. When I turn off WiFi on my mobile during a call and move to a window to obtain 4/5G signal, they always say its better. If I switch my iPhone Wifi back on in settings, the problem resumes. If I use Apple FaceTime Audio or WhatsApp calling, calls are crystal clear. However, this isn't always possible. This has become a real problem for me particularly when on a call with someone who isn't using a mobile phone/PC that can utilise pure VoIP calling (EG. FaceTime/WhatsApp).

Does anyone else have this issue with WiFi calling on an iPhone with EE and EE broadband with the new EE WiFi 7 routers? Or, with any other EE router? Does anyone have any troubleshooting tips?

I have the same issue with WiFi calling on various Samsung phones with various mobile carriers and my EE Busiest Home package with the WiFi7 router and extenders. I turn off WiFi calling when at home and it works perfectly when using WiFi in other places, including EE public WiFi.

This has been reported quite a few times within this Community but no resolution has been found.

This is a dealbreaker for me. I need Wi-Fi calling to work I may have to
look for a different broadband provider

Hi @rjb3T,

Welcome to the Community!

I'm sorry to hear that you're having these issues when using WiFi Calling, as this certainly isn't what we want to hear.

I'd recommend reaching out to our Technical experts, and they'll be happy to take a look, and see why this is happening.
