Problem Splitting bands

Hi. Had my full fibre installed today and working ok.

The issue I have got is that when I go to split the bands and re-name I don’t see the separate bands toggle and can’t see the name of the 5GHz band,

Rung technical support and they have done it for me via remote access.

Now I can see it when I log onto wi-fi but not in the hub settings pages.

Also I changed (well technical support did) the 2.4Ghz and the 5Ghz names to the same as the old router to make connection easy for all my smart devices.

This worked for everything that needed the 2.4Ghz band but anything that needed the 5Ghz needed the password entering, even though the password was the same as on the old router

@Welshguy1975  You can not separate them on the smart EE hub.   The name for the 5Ghz band is the same name for the 2.4Ghz band. And password.

If a device runs on 5Ghz it’ll run on 2.5Ghz.   Not all 2.4Ghz items work on 5Ghz

just connect everything up and allow your devices to choose what’s best from them.  You don’t need to choose what bandwidth your devices connect to with the smart hub.
