Everything does NOT have to be about phone apps. Computers still exist and their large screens mean they are a lot better for most talks than 'phones, even for phone calls!

Everything on the EE account interface and website seems to lead to 'get the app' .
Even part of the router management pages says changes have to be done though the app.
Get some proper details and instruction manuals onto your website.

WAKE UP EE website manager. Not everyone is a phone obsessed teenager. 
Sack the graphic designers and teenyboppers who make your websites. Get a mature adult to dictate the content, have it checked by an engineer, have it tested by some non-web-programmers on the staff, then a group of customers. 

If you need an example check the Virgin Media websites which, at least before I retired, were 100 times more user friendly and informative.
