I got a visit at my home by one of EE's salespeople who sold me my new package and assured me my old broadband provider's disconnection fee would be covered by EE, up to £300. I just got billed this month by the old provider approximately £225, well under the £300 I was promised would be covered. The old provider is claiming I have to take this up with EE. How do I get this fee covered/refunded?

Details of claiming switching credit are at https://ee.co.uk/help/broadband/getting-started/early-cancellation-credit
In short, you need to pay your final bill from old provider and EE credit this to your bill upon receipt of acceptable proof.
