@JimM11 no, they are the same apart from the outer casing. Exactly the same. Guy on YouTube did a tear down. Same board, (missing one capacitor or something if I remember rightly) runs same firmware. EE Smart Hub (2023 release) and BT Smart Hub 2 is the same. Smart Hub Plus is a completely different beast with buggy firmware.

@JimM11 wrote:@simonAH Do not make any assumptions, your MyBT is going to shut down, your EE ID has to have the BB linked, you have an EE ID setup correct?
I have an EE ID yes, that's what I am logged in with on the App. Whats the BB? or did you typo BT? Should I log into the EE app using my BT account credentials?

@simonAH BB is your Broadband account. The link below may help.

Just tried to pair the app and router again via the QR code… and it worked!! Not as many settings available as the routers webpage but you can set schedules to turn off internet for certain device groups (the kids basically) during certain times. Cc @Lauz1984

@simonAH The question is did you have to do anything with the link accounts, or just use your mobile again to connect the hub to the app.

Nope. Just thought I’d try again after I had the all set up SMS from EE.

@simonAH Good, the account side to the app is just not an instant, does take time for it all to get together. The app is getting more powerful as time goes on and you will be surprised at what it is capable of doing. If they would only just put it all through a web interface then cake/icing would describe, not a fan off app's as you probably can gather.

Let’s hope they continue to improve things. It works well enough for me for now, so all good on my part. I’d prefer the web interface to have everything too as it’s directly on the router.
