I have been offered what seems to be good deal to renew my BT Broadband contract.
As part of the new deal, I will almost certainly be transferred over to EE Broadband fairly soon after renewing.
I have the BT Advanced Digital Home Phone which I intend to continue using.
I have been told by an EE Guide in my local EE shop that this phone is not compatible with the new EE Router which will be part of my new EE Contract.
Is this correct? Is this phone incompatible with EE Routers?

@bigbarney Although there is the equivalent EE version of the handset the BT version does work as long as you do not require to use the Alexa function if you have that specific handset. It appears that everything is good, also there is no export function for DV on the EE router, so before you disconnect, export your contact list from the BT Smarthub2 so you have your complete list available for use, you can import the file to the EE router, but any reset's clear them out, so keep them safe for ever. The copy of a link is below if you wish to go read and you can go back a little to see the start. The Digital Home Phone section has some more up to date information regarding all the current issues around DV with EE.

I was in the same situation a few days ago, don't do it.
The whole move has been a nightmare! My BT digital voice phone says "Service not ready" I went back to the BT Smarthub 2 and it has stopped working with that as well.
The Hybrid connect will not pair with the new EE router, even after resetting both. The EE router is missing staple functions that the BT Smarthub 2 has. Whoever decided to remove DDNS should be banned from any job that is IT related.
They set two accounts up, one for broadband and one for mobile. The broadband account was set up with an email address that is not mine and does not match my mobile account's email. EE have said it is not possible to link the accounts.
I never asked for any of this. I wholeheartedly regret agreeing to be moved over.
A thoroughly dreadful experience, and it hasn't ended yet.

I would stay with BT, as I've switched as well from BT and the quality of the service is not the same, I now experience multiple disconnections from Internet while with BT I have never had any issues.
