Move from BT to EE

A couple of weeks ago my mother was told by BT that she would have to move her phone / broadband account to EE. She agreed to this and on 13 June an engineer from EE visited her with new equipment. This move has not gone well however. My mother is in her 80s and hard of hearing. When she had her BT package she had a special device that linked with her TV and boosted the volume to her hearing aid - this no longer works with her new EE package. She has also told me that she can no longer access Amazon and Netflix. After the engineer's visit she has made a couple of calls to EE but it appears nobody has been able to fix her problems. She told me that one EE representative told her that she would need to create a new email address - which sounds a bit crazy to me. As I have mentioned above, my mother is in her 80s and perhaps not as sharp as she once was but not completely incompetent with regards to technology. I do feel, however, that this move has not been handled well. Any suggestions how I should proceed here? Unfortunately I do not live close to my mother - if I did I would visit her and try to sort this out myself.
