Looking to switch from BT to EE on the 1.6gbs package but unable to atm

So I went to an EE store today to try and switch from BT broadband to New EE so I could get the 1.6gbs package and Wifi 7 ,  But it seems I am unable to at the moment as I have BT/EE TV and it seems the Busiest Home package currently is not available if you have BT TV or a landline.

Does anybody have any idea when it will be available to people with TV as it seems a bit daft that a package designed for heavy usage, gaming and streaming doesnt work with the companies own streaming TV service

@Verk Yes, it's in the pipeline with no estimated timescale for when both/either DV/TV which ever combination and BT to EE not allowed to go there either unless that has been changed also!

A strange one for sure.

I do want to switch but im currently on a good deal with BT so there isn't much point in me doing so until I can get the 1.6gbps package.

Just no one seems to know when it will be fixed to allow TV and Digital Voice to work on that package

@Verk That is what i was saying, there was a BT to EE not allowed to switch up to the 1.6Gb/s package from anything they had fibre wise, then also the TV and or DV any combination. All were being worked on with no timeline at present, so hopefully your package has time to go and also that you are not moved which they can do, but you would be on EE so upgrade may also be easier, you just never know.

@Verk  it is coming up to a year since they introduced the 1.6Gb service and only this week that a router with ports that can achieve the speeds offered, oh and it has WiFi7 too.

Alas no one who may knows has chosen to share product development plans and say when DV or TV might be available. Given a 1/6Gb download would easily flood a circuit with only 115Mbps upload they are waiting for the symetrical service that has recently been mentioned?

Yes when it first was launched it was for brand new EE customers only, with others being able to switch in March of this year according to what some people were told by customer service.

However it seems this is only the case if you dont have a landline or TV package as well.

@Verk Hopeful that this is only the case, there are new EE customers just joined, tried to upgrade to the all singing/dancing in theory no problems, then refused upgrade also. One down, and only two to fix.
