Landline not ported from TalkTalk to EE

I finally convinced my parents to change their Broadband and Landline deal from TalkTalk to EE. The only thing they said was "I want to keep the number". EE said it should be no problem and in booking it all in the TalkTalk account was found and we are good to go.

The landline does not appear to be working and I will be popping over here to help trouble shoot but not sure what I need to check. The broadband is all active and seems to be working fine.

When I dial the landline from my mobile it just rings and then goes to answer phone.

So, what do I need to do when there. When booking in the change over we were told that an engineer would not be needed, just plug in and go.

Any tips?

Thanks

David

@brawton  have you plugged the phone in to the router via the phone socket on it.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Hi, Thanks for replying. Yes that was done. It was done at around 1pm yesterday so were hoping it would have happened before midnight. We also did the reboot of everything too.

@brawton It sometimes takes more than the 24hrs for DV to switch over and start working correctly, but do see if you can use anything on the landline and keep the forum posted! You can also check the Voicemail on the phone, to see number is all attached and correct, may give you a heads up to what's happening also, just incase the phone is not ringing on a received call.
