Morning Everyone,
After waiting for any news, I saw that the new WiFi 7 is being advertised and the Smart Home Pro is available.
So I’ve signed up for the 1.6Gb package which includes the WiFi 7 Router.
I will update this post once I receive everything and I’ll do a full review.
I get the new iPhone 16 Pro Max this Friday on launch which is WiFi 7 so I’ll be able to test out the new WiFi capabilities and then I’ll do a wired test to my gaming PC.
Estimated Date for equipment = 28 September 2024
Date for Installation - 2nd October 2024 - 8am to 1pm.
Although I don’t need an engineer as I have everything in place from my previous internet so will see if I can just plug in myself 😄

Hi yeah did have but they were removed from my account, they did think it was that originally but when they tried to add they weren’t coming up as an add on so they said they can’t add and il on a list

Don't forget that whilst the £10 extra a month is good value for a WiFi 7 router + WiFi extender (mesh network), you do not own the equipment at the end of the 24 months.

Thanks for the info, interesting. Should definitely appear as long as you're a customer on a New EE BB plan above 150Mbps, unless the cease order hasn't fully closed and it's not come off the account perhaps. Usually addons can take 30 days to fully close off an account. Fingers crossed they can get it sorted, sounds like teething issues in the week that it's been launched but should all be sorted long term.

Correct, very important to note.
However, if the costs are weighed up and you are using the equipment at the same cost for even a couple of years, it's still a fantastic value as opposed to buying the equipment for how long someone may typically use it for. When WiFi standards inevitably improve in the future you're not stuck with the huge sunk cost of a Tri-band WiFi 7 Router and Extender bought for nearing £1000.
I think £240 for 24 months and see what happens in the market after that point is a great solution for most consumers.

Thanks :), Yeah I'm on a new gigabyte plan, just noticed that I can add wifi plus again so the cancellation must have gone through still no wifi 7 option but I think it simply a waiting game now for some customers, if I hear anything from EE I'll be sure to share it here if it helps anyone, cheers

I phoned up today and they removed my smart WiFi plus add on and they’re phoning me tomorrow to place an order for the Wi-Fi 7 equipment- I’ll let you know how I get on.

I’ll let you know 😊
my order to remove the add on closed almost straight away and it’s no longer on my package list so hopefully it will work. They did mention there was a glitch in adding it on for existing customers.
