I am having trouble pairing my ee smart router with my ee wifi extender the pair just will not connect with one another either by wps button or ethernet cable. i get the flashing blue light on both but then the wifi extender just goes back to red once they have both timed out.
Any help in this matter would be most appreciated.

What are the model identifiers of each device (hub and extender)? You should find them on the label on the underside.

I have the same problem. Brand new Smart WIFI' box won't pair with my BT Hub 3. Flashes blue then goes flashing red. Did a factory reset and no different. Any ideas or I'm going to cancel my £5/month for my useless box (if I can)!

@Physicsboy Here is the help section, related to EE, so you may have to find similar as you mention BT?

Not really but thanks for trying. I actually have a BT Smart Hub 2 (not 3) and after trying a couple of times with the WiFi extender next to the hub and following the pairing instructions with no success, I plugged the 2 together with an ethernet cable. A couple of pairing tries later and it finally paired with a solid blue light. No idea why!

@JR1097 Use the cable method from the link below, and leave it connected that way for 24 hours.....

What same problem? There have been a few mentioned already on this thread.
If it is trying to get a BT Hub to connect to an EE Extender chances are they will not - but what router model are you using and what extender?
