@Jadeeb92 : Hybrid Connect doesn't connect to the wall. It's a mobile router with a SIM inside that connects to EE's mobile network.

It's probably not activated yet awaiting the BB install as it's meant to be a fall-back for the BB.

@Jadeeb92 assuming the Hybrid is provisioned correctly then you should be able to get online ahead of your broadband installation. First thing to check is that the signal bars on the Hybrid unit are steady aqua. If they're not then it suggests the SIM card isn't active and you may need to get in touch with the Helpdesk.

Assuming the signal bars are good, then you need pair the Hybrid to the hub. This can be done using either an Ethernet cable between LAN ports or by pressing the WPS button on both the hub and Hybrid.

Once paired, the main LED on the Hybrid should go steady aqua. If you leave things in this state for 5 mins or so then the mobile connection should kick in. This is evidenced by a steady white LED on both the hub and the Hybrid. Prior to this, the main hub LED is likely to be flashing orange (this is normal).

@bobpullen : I was thinking that the SIM comes with some ration of data & this would not provisioned until the BB has gone live. Is that not so?

@XRaySpeX as far as I know, with a new installation that has a lead time for the fixed line, the SIM provision should be in advance of the broadband.

Just had a look at the guide that came in the box I have and there's reference to it there: -
