Gaming connectivity issues

Ok, I am currently experiencing some connectivity issues which a specific game, namely Destiny 2, but the problems only seem to be occuring with my PS5 consoles.  Running the game on my PC or laptop have no issues.

To be clear i am currently using an Asus GT-BE98 and although i have the EE equipment for my 1.6Gps service i have never used them on account of having the Asus.  I have tried setting up port forwarding as per the details on the Bugnie forums but it still doesnt seem to resolve the issue.

One thing that has been highlighted to me is that i dont currently have IPv6 configured which may (or may not) be causing my current issues, so the question i ask is there anything specific i need to do to enable IPv6 on non EE equipment? I have had a quick look at the router config and when i select the option to enable IPv6 there are a number of options when it comes to connection type or interface and i dont know where to beging with this, can anyone provide some advice for this?

This is exactly what i just did as i was fed up waiting for a response fro ASUS, i only rolled back to the 2nd most recent firmware and boom, Destiny 2 is working perfectly, i cant thank you enough because it was starting to look like a white elephant of a router

I have got it sorted,i should have thought of this much much sooner but i rolled back to the second most recent firmware and it is instantly back to being perfect @JimM11

@soupladel Sorted, if Asus support does get back you can let them know you had to roll back one version, things do happen from time to time and when you run your own Equipment you do have to be somewhat in control off it all.👍👍

Will keep an eye out Asus updates FW as they go along, you may just have to do the wait and jump one version and keep your Auto Update off, do suspect from the Asus list this may be what is doing the hang up on your Open NAT, but without me taking a look at it hard to say.

Fixed specific LAN/UPnP behavior issues after setup. UPnP can be good, i ALWAYS turn it off and control the ports as needed.

Great !! glad you finally got it sorted , might be an idea to stop it doing firmware updates if that is possible to do ? , i kind of think of it like a BIOS update , never do it unless its really needed to fix a specific issue , suppose i have been Jaded by all the issues with windows updates ive seen other struggling with that i have avoided , plus games in the past have had updates ruin them , but  its great you got things up and running again 😃

@Profile closed Auto update FW can be switched off on the Asus, just takes the OP to go stop it from happening.✔️

That was the first thing I did after I rebooted the router after the firmware finished installing
