Full Fibre Pricing not competitive

I currently have my Broadband with Sky and tried to upgrade to Full Fibre. As a result of the prices I was offered I decided to look elsewhere.

I am an EE mobile customer and my wife is with Vodafone. We made enquiries with EE and Vodafone, and EE are way behind. Vodafone will charge £27 for 500 mb and £28 for 910 mb.

Looks like after 26 years of being an EE customer I would be better off going to Vodafone

@RDR22   this time of year is often where best prices are available, and Vodafone are able to use City Fibre as well as Openreach Fibre in many locations. That said they claim to be able to provide up to 1.8Mbls for me, but Openreach have not yet provided fibre in my area.

Worth checking the details, and as always worth shopping around.

While the broadband may be cheaper, you may benefit from the savings on your EE Mobile from having EE Broadband which can offset this difference via Multi Product Benefits (EE One).

Pricing is a result of the different infrastructure in use in different parts of the country and is not a loyalty snub. VF are able to use an alternative network (CityFibre) which has different (usually cheaper) rates for the providers, compared to Openreach services which operate on a wider national footprint but are generally not as cheap to offer a service on. This reflects on prices that can be offered to consumers.

Take a look into the EE One benefits here, you may find that you could save enough to make up for the pricing differential and get Unlimited data to boot. Or if you're happy with your EE service, may get a better deal than her current for your wife's mobile too as a result if she came across.
