Hi,

Just paid the £10 a month extra to upgrade to the smart hub Pro and the connection speed is terrible compared to the old router. Im struggling to get 100mbps when doing a PS5 speed test. Ive had to hard wire the extra wifi hub to get  a decent speed but that measn the upstairs now is poor. Any ideas or how to you go about getting an extra wifi hub? Thanks

EE guarantee that you will get at least 100 Meg in every room from Smart WiFi Pro extenders & if you're not they will send you up to 2 more. If you are not getting at least 100 Meg, you call CS & ask for them.

@Cambb69 What was your old router? Just for comparison details if you do not mind.

As @XRaySpeX has said, with your £10 addon of the EE Smarthub Pro, did you not also receive one EE Smartwifi device to go with the Pro router, and if you need more then call to EE CS should sort that out for you. PS5 speed test is nothing to go by, what method of connection are you using for the PS5.

HI,

Yes got one EE Smartwifi extender which ive got next to my PS5 now and hardwired into the port on the back. However i had it upstairs and the wifi has dropped in the loft now. 

I had the  EE SMART HUB PLUS WIFI 6 beforehand and the WiFi was stronger.

@Cambb69 Kind of hard to work out, where is the router in relation to the smart wifi positional in the home, as to strength of signal no one has yet reported on how good the devices are, apart from the smart wireless appears to interfere with the router so one user turned it off, does not help your scenario and always PS5 gaming is better wired to the main router, but that is not always possible, you are relying on how good the mesh is having it plugged into the extender smart wireless device.

Not really improved but did log a call and they agreed to send out a second Smartwifi device.

I'm disappointed to hear you've not seen any improvements yet @Cambb69.

It sounds like our team are on the case with things though, so please keep us posted on how  you get on with the second Smart WiFI device.

Does anybody know how long it take s EE to post out a second Smart WiFi extender? Its been a week and ive heard nothing.
