Fibre Max 900 and wired Ethernet Switch

We have broadband with EE and opted to upgrade to Fibre 900.
The current EE router sits in the centre of the house providing wifi and is connected to a Netgear ProSafe 24 Port Gigabit Switch which distributes throughout the house for smart TVs, Sonos, Synology NAS, etc.
For the installation, we would need to move the EE router from its current location to where the fibre enters from outside. The switch has to remain where it is.
I want to connect the switch to the router in its new location. Running an ethernet cable from the router to the switch would be quite difficult.
I wondered if it is possible to connect the switch to a Wifi receiver?
What specification receiver/router would I require?
Any thoughts or suggestions please?

Why do you need to move the router? Isn't the ONT close to the phone socket you are using currently?

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

ONT = Optical Network Terminal?
No. Openreach cannot install it near the current socket. Hence the issue described above.
I think I need to connect the ethernet switch to a wireless access point.
I wanted to confirm/check before purchasing and booking Openreach to install the ONT...?

@knotty68   alas nothing you do is going to be as fast as a decent ethernet cable, and you may need to do some experimenting.

The EE router is Wi-Fi 5, so that will slow down your connection speeds and will depend on the distance between the router and switch. A Wi-Fi 6 router with a mesh system would be worth looking into.

You may get better results with Powerline Adapters - I use them to feed a small switch which in turn feeds my TV, sat box, Firestick and a Hue hub.
