Fibre Installation

New fibre broadband installed this week:
OpenReach were great.  Good notice provided and staff were on time and professional. 

Two things to note:

  1. You need TWO separate available plug sockets within reach of the router.  I think EE should include this information up front.   It is on the video so maybe send the link instead of just making it there to look for.   A double adapter plug doesn't work.  
  2. The router information says the light should be aqua blue.   You will see lots of questions about this.  The default brightness is low which make the light look green indicating a re-boot is necessary.   Changing the setting to full brightness makes the light look blue.

I don't see why a double adaptor plug would not work though, unless the plugs are awkward shapes?
