The more I read about getting fibre to my flat, the more confused I get! The Openreach page states, "We are planning to build in this area." The BT Broadband availability Checker states, "FTTP is not available."
I note properties all around me are having the install. Does the fact I live in a flat (or an MDU - multiple dwelling unit) have any impact on installation time. I had my landline changed to Digital Voice some years ago when I joined BT and this carried over to EE.
When I have spoken to an Openreach engineer I gather MDUs are dealt with by a dedicated team. I am not sure whether each flat will be treated as a house or whether all the work will be done where the telephone lines enter the building and the copper cable left in situ to connect to the individual flats.
Can EE give any indication if or when a FTTP installation will take place?
I would be grateful if anyone can shine a light on any of the foregoing topics.

@JoRo1948 EE can tell you nothing and OR or an Altnet for the MDU installation may just do them different.
OR's approach will be to bring Fibre direct to the individual flats from a central point within the MDU, time is what the issue with them is and it just may not be anytime soon if ever even worth doing. Having copper and DV conversion already way back in the Queue with it all. Just register on the OR Fibre site and let them keep you updated.

Thank you for your honesty! A bit depressing but time will tell, I suppose.
I have registered my interest, as you suggested.
Thank you.
