FTTP delay

EE broadband

I was previously with BT and was switched across to EE just over two years ago. Broadband FTTC. My contract expired 01 July, but I was not allowed to stay on FTTC and had to switch to FTTP.

I placed an order but this was then cancelled by OpenReach. No-one was able to tell me the reason, however I spoke to the relevant local council department who confirmed OR has sent them a form , it had been submitted incorrectly, OR apologised and promised to send it again. Two weeks later OR cancelled the job..

I submitted another order on 03 July  and have now been given an installation date of 13 November. EE/OR are  not able/unwilling to advise why it is taking so long to sort out.

How can I find out what is going on ?

If permission is needed the date will be pushed out so it doesn't cancel while waiting. Once permissions are completed it can be brought forward

@BENSONPOPPY Take it you still have the slower fttc connection and the Broadband still running and connected until OR gets round to doing you FF Full Fibre Installation in there planning schedule.

Yes. I am still working ok on FTTC. When the first OR engineer came for the survey I was told that it would be a 11 day turnaround after the paperwork had been done. I guess I’ll have to be a bit more patient !

@BENSONPOPPY That will be the case, 1st neighbour exactly across the street was 1 Day shy off a complete year behind getting a Full Fibre connection (that may have been an embarrassing factor who knows), and it's been available OR wise from 1st Sep 2024 but the select few which is everyone on the wrong side off the street, have HUGE issues to overcome so it's no longer funny anymore as far as they are concerned....
