Did you mean:

Exit fee is effectively my full remaining payments

Be interesting to know how the below is calculated, my end of contract is Jan 26 and my monthly payments are £57 for 500mb (seems on the heavy side to me), not sure how the exit fee can be £435.21, this is basically 100% of my remaining contract payments.

When I looked to move to a new provider I got an email from BT saying my contract end was August 26 and the settlement would be £490.99, based on this I was expecting a Jan termination to be around £260

I'm regretting the move from BT, its ended up more costly and gave me a few months of pain with no TV, don't recommend it.

I still get constant comms from BT and EE, so it doesn't looking like the business transformation went to plan.

Statement on the EE website in relation to termination fees

Leaving EE before your contract's end date will likely result in an early termination charge. This fee is calculated based on the remaining cost of your contract, minus any savings EE experiences from your early departure. To get a precise estimate, you'll need to determine the remaining months of your contract and your monthly fee, then calculate the remaining cost and apply any discounts or savings.

An early contract end offer would be nice 🙂

Maybe ask EE to confirm the contract end date and then if if's not what you think it is, ask them to explain it?

When you cancel EE BB mid-term there will always be Early Termination Fees. How BB ETFs are calculated & some examples can be found on p 15 of EE TV, Broadband and Home Phone Price Guide .

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

Yeah I spoke to them and thats where the £435.21 came from, I'm just venting on here to see if anybody else has had the same issue, the figure doesn't seem to be calculated at all its just the full amount of what your monthly payments would be up to the end of the contract

@hughed2 You have to do the maths, NO ISP likes to work it out so you can use it as the reference for checking out the competition. But it is all in the Help Guide.
