So my contract ends in a few months, and i plan to downgrade as i do not need the speeds i have right now, but when i go to check out the broadband deals, the website refreshes by itself and forces me back to the home page where the renew contract button is, is this intentional??? why can't i just look at alternate plans i don't want the same damn plan obviously

Welcome to the Community, @LexCY

Depending on how far you are from the end of your contract, you may not be shown the full range of renewal options until you're within the upgrade window.

If you haven't already, I'd recommend trying this from a different device or browser, too.

Just to be clear this is when you click "renew contract" to start with?

no, its when i navigated to the Full Fibre page (or anywhere else on the site) and clicked Broadband Deals

I have until November, i just wanted to take a look to see if EE was doing the speeds i was thinking of downgrading to, but it's okay i eventually just signed out and it let me view it normally, its kinda crappy to force someone to the renew page if they just want to look at broadband deals instead though

Broadband Deals are for new custs. You're not! Hence it bumps you back to click "renew contract". Click on "renew contract" to see what you, as an existing cust, can get.

yea but then it was only showing me my same plan for like half the price xddd with no option to change to a different speed

You won't be able to downgrade to a diff plan mid-term, but only in your upgrade window from 30 days before end of term, i.e. in Oct.

What's wrong with 1/2 the price or does "xddd" alter things?
