EE smart wifi Plus Ethernet Issues

DavidNisbet

Hi, We've recently just got an EE smart hub with the EE smart wifi Plus. I seem to have correctly set the wifi plus up (It now has an aqua light showing) Yet when I plug it into my computer via ethernet it doesn't show up as a device nor does it supply any wifi to my computer. I used the same setup with my BT wifi extender and it worked fine. Struggling to find a solution, can anyone help?

@DavidNisbet Not sure if it would show up as a device as it is only an Ethernet connection but that should indicate that Ethernet is connected, if you do not have another device to check you could see if it is working wirelessly, also have a look at it's label to be sure that it is a SW30A smart wireless model and the EE Router model SH31 or 32B, aqua light would be good as far as the unit is concerned. Link below will give you picture description of the units.

You could check with the web manager http://192.168.1.254 that the router does see it, also the app if working display's extender status. Third link gives the idea what the extender screen looks like with the web manager.
