My broadband cut out about a week ago (the dreaded green light). I tried various methods to get it to work - turning it off and on, doing a hard reset for 20 seconds, unplugging taking all the wires out and leaving for an hour. I have managed to get it to work again 3 times, but each time it has only been for 15 minutes then it goes again. I’ve read a few threads where people have are said it’s the power cable that’s faulty. I don’t think this applies in this case, if the cable were faulty why would it work for 15 minutes?
I thought it might be the openreach ONT so have turned that off and on again and managed to get it working again for 15 minutes, then it goes down again
Ive had ee bb for 6 months now and it’s been pretty good up to this point, not sure why it’s playing up now

Faults can manifest in different ways and it doesn't necessarily mean it completely stops working, sometimes it can be intermittent.
It could be worth texting HELP to 66033 to run a check on your line. This will run an automated check, but may then give you the option to schedule a callback with a Guide.
Other than that, your best bet is calling EE Customer Services.

If you've got the SH+ (you don't say), it will quite likely be a weak Power Supply. There are quite suspect anyway & EE are sending out replacements for it. It's delivering a below par power, so it works intermittently but then the router's green light shows or flickers. - See EE Sending out Replacement Power Supplies for its Smart Hub Plus's.
