EE app not working to manage Smart Hub Plus

I've hit yet another snag since moving over from BT to EE: when I open the app and go to manage my broadband, and select WiFi, it says I can't manage the settings because I'm not connected to my home WiFi. But I am: the router shows the phone as connected and active and I can access the internet. 

Anyone else had this and did you find a fix?

I voted to leave after 5 months of all the app issues. Simply had enough of the complete headache of it all. It’s just not ready for prime time and we are all paid beta testers simple as that. I was allowed to leave free of charge, wish you all the best of luck it gets fixed asap.

I called support a few weeks back and they said they are aware of the issue. But it has been going on since the new router was installed in  January and no sign of a fix. Great to hear you could leave free of charge as I'll give it another week or so and consider going down that route.

Hi Gary, I'm encountering the same issue at present, cant connect to utilize the wifi controls. Did you manage to find a solution in the end?

Hi @GMellon - no, I'm afraid not. Still waiting with an open case with EE/BT Executive Complaints, and weekly updates. They are expecting an update by 25 March, but have otherwise said I can leave without a contract exit penalty. I haven't paid for my service since November, whilst they've been investigating...

Thanks Gary, it is hard to believe there is no workaround other than using an app which isn't functional. Hopefully is resolved by 25th. Best regards, G

The reply I received by private message along with my complaint reference was... 

This is a known issue and a fix for the wifi controls is due to be implemented on the 2nd of April.

I too have the same problem as everyone else. Exactly the same MO. Only just switched, and if it wasn't for this it would've been seamless. But, the functionality I want (game and business mode) are only available from the app.

On the plus side, at least it means I'm not as stupid as I thought 2 hours ago

Has anyone had a fix yet? Tired of Private message resolutions. If someone ha a workaround please publish it!
