EE Smart WiFi compatibility

Riiisk

Afternoon All,

Having some issues setting up smart WiFi and was seeing if the SH30A router is compatible with the SW10A smart WiFi that they’ve sent.

it doesn’t connect via WPS or Ethernet but when I log into the router I can see the device is connected with the Ethernet. It doesn’t show under WiFi extender though.

@Riiisk  The SH30A is a WiFi extender itself and is use with a smart hub plus.

@Riiisk The setup links from the help etc! And the 30A/10A combo is not a fine device wise for each other! Are you using the EE app and the Web manager to look both ways at the devices!

SH30A would be the EE Smarthub+ version, so the SW20A is the smart wireless to go with it!

@Chris_B   the clue is in the name - SH = Smart Hub, SW = Smart WiFi.

You have got the wrong Smart WiFi extenders. The Smart WiFi (2023) (SW10A) is meant for the EE Smart Hub (2023) (SH20A).

For the Smart Hub Plus (SH30A, SH31B or SH32B), of Set up your Home Broadband EE Router, you need the  Smart WiFi Plus (SW30A), of Setting up Smart WiFi.

Thanks, thought as much.

This will be EEs third attempt to send the correct device after originally sending a BT WiFi disk that did t work.

both times they’ve been told the model number of the router. 😅😅
