EE Smart Hub Pro router issue

Anyone else facing this issue?

I set my 2.4 GHz to a fixed channel 6 and saved. The setting doesn't hold and changes to channel 11. I have factory reset the router and the firmware is up to date.

Firmware version:

r2.64.2-R-1210501-PROD-1
App version: 2.34.2

@Huggons1 will review the pic when cleared! Cannot see why they would insist on using a specific fixed channel, what is going on with the heating controller, post model detail of it.

@Huggons1 Have you tried dropping down to wpa2 - personnel version and applying the channel change!

Thanks. Wpa2 not one of the options on the smart hub pro.

Thanks. Long story about the heating controls, but manufacturer wants me on channel 6 WiFi.

@Huggons1 There is no way that there is no WPA2 - Personnel as a valid option for the Pro router....

Is there now only a WPA3 as the minimum option?

The mimimum security setting for the main Wi-Fi network/SSID is WPA3-Personal-Transition. This is likely because WPA3 is required for 6GHz operation.

If you want to try using WPA2 then this can be achieved by enabling the Compatible WiFi feature and connecting the heating controller to that Wi-Fi network instead.

@bobpullen Thanks for the reply, wpa3 required for wifi 7 minimum spec, but really cannot understand why wanting fixed channel 6, does the compatible feature downgrade the wireless on the Pro router. May be better for the OP to get a simple wifi RE and set the spec on that down,👍

@JimM11 Compatible WiFi doesn't use Wi-Fi 7 standards so definitely inferior to the main network in at least one respect.

@bobpullen : Is this Compatible WiFi another WiFi network with its own SSID broadcast along with the main WiFi like another Guest network? Is it also IP-isolated?
