EE Smart Hub Plus (SH31B)

I have the  EE Smart Hub Plus (SH31B) and I want to move the router more central in my house. 

I have The new broadband 500 mbs doesn’t connect to the traditional phone socket. They connected a new socket from outside to inside the house from the telegraph pole. 
 what’s the type of cable that connects from my router to new open reach white box? please advise , as I wish to get a longer cable? 
also if I want to hardwire connect the router to the sky q box, what cable do I need for that? Rj11-rj11 ? Any help much appreciated thanks

Hey @sjm750, welcome back to the EE Community!

The cable that connects your ONT (the Openreach branded modem on your wall) to your EE Hub is a standard Ethernet cable, so you're absolutely able to buy a longer one if you were looking to move the location of your Hub. 

Ethernet cables come in different categories though, which determine the maximum speed they support, so if you want to ensure you get the best experience possible I would recommend Cat 5e or higher. 

It's the same kind of cable that you would need to connect directly to your Sky Q box as well, just be aware that the cable from ONT must be inserted into the red WAN port on your Hub, and any other devices into the Yellow Ethernet ones.
