Ive found that the LED on my Smart Hub Plus is much dimmer than the same central light on my TV Box Pro and Smart Hybrid Connect. I have checked the setting for this in Hub Manager and have tried toggling it off/to 50% and back to 100% but it doesnt light anywhere near as bright as the other 2 devices (even when the light is other colours such as orange or white when the Smart Hybrid Connect it working).
Can anyone with the Smart Hub Plus as well as a TV Box Pro and/or Smart Hybrid Connect confirm that there's a very dim light in the Hub by comparison or if not, I'll see about getting it replaced.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

@Flying_Kiwi - mine's the same so I doubt it's a fault. Hard to tell it's even on if you face it directly. TV box and Hybrid are also brighter in contrast.

Hi @Flying_Kiwi
If the hub works why are you bothered about the light. I don't believe EE will replace the hub if just the light is dim.
Thanks

Because its so dim that at times its hard to even know what colour it is. How about answering my question please (if you have a Smart Hub Plus with other devices that have the no 8 shaped light on the front in the middle)?

I have the SH+. The light is bright enough but you have to be very much at the right angle to see much. From memory it was the same with my TV boxes (I don’t really use them anymore).
If everything’s working OK I don’t pay it any attention.

Many thanks for your clear answer @bobpullen . Here are a couple of photos showing my gear all up and running showing the Smart Hub Plus both in regular mode and with the Smart Hybrid Connect taking the strain.
I won’t ask for a replacement Smart Hub Plus as it’s by design but it’s clear that the central light should have been made brighter for consistency reasons if nothing more - especially given there’s an option in Hub Manger to dim it.
