Hi, I recently bought the £39 for 30 days of Wifi. It worked for a day on my laptop, and then stopped working afterwards. Every other device I’ve tried using has worked. Essentially, I connect to the Wifi, and it doesn’t redirect me to the log in page, nor does it give me the option to be redirected there. When I try to use the browser, I’m registered as not having any Wifi, and therefore can’t search anything as it claims I’m not connected to the internet. I tried using the mobile data from my phone, and then using the redirect suggested on the website, logged in, disconnected from the Wifi I was using and logged into EE - still no Wifi. Again, everything else works just fine, excluding my laptop.
Asking around on other online forums, I was told that whilst I have an IP, for some reason the Captive Portal isn’t loading.
If anyone knows how to help, please do. I won’t have Wifi for a month, and £39 is a lot of money. Thank you!

Have you tried turning off WiFi Assist in your settings? This sometimes can try to put you back onto the mobile network despite being connected to WiFi.

@ClaireHumphreys I am really sorry for the experience you had calling them. Had you been able to check for iPhone private relay and also Wi-Fi assist as @Matt_124 suggested?
Have you also been able to test loading up the page on non-Safari browsers? And just to test are you able to load the page fine on your phone when on another connection, like your home Wi-Fi or mobile data?

On desktop, open up Command Prompt and type in the following:
ipconfig/release
Press enter, and then type the following:
ipconfig/renew
Open up your browser and it should take you to the portal. I had the same issue as you, called up the WiFi team and they provided this solution.

I’ve had this issue for ages, tried everything to get the portal to work on my iphone 16.
Got it to finally work, uninstalled the old “BT Wi-fi” app and it worked first time connecting to the wifi, pop upped to log in. Is this an app on a laptop too?
The By wifi app was originally trying to make it easier but has since stopped working.

Thanks for sharing this with us, @Maccafoe.
The BT WiFi app hasn't been supported for a while now since the switch over to EE branding, but it's very interesting that this would be interfering with your ability to connect via browser.
I'm glad to hear you managed to get things sorted, though 😊
