Cobham Surrey meltdown

Anyone else suffering? Broadband went down last night, message from EE says it will take 5 days to fix. So my alarm system doesn't work, can't access the Internet from my computer for work, digital TV out of action. No-one at EE answering the 150 number and the complaints form doesn't send, you just get a page of code!

Looks like EE is struggling to run a Telecomms company!

Hi @LeighLady

Welcome to the community.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems with your broadband, hopefully it's fixed sooner than the five day estimate. Have you managed to speak with our Technical Support team yet?

Struggling they certainly are ! Never seen such a shambles of a company. Worst mistake I ever made was changing from BT

Now in 4th day of no service. A call that took over 1 hour to the 0300 number resulted in me being told my contract did not entitle me to the loan of a mini hub so I had to buy one.He could not do that for me, I had to go online to the EE website. And guess what- I didn’t have access to the Internet from my computer.

Then got online through my phone but couldn’t find where I could buy the hub so asked for a callback for a clue.

Got a completely different answer then and was recommended a Hybrid device that can provide constant backup for when my EE broadband crashes again. It costs but hey ho needs must.

Then found out all my neighbours on their old BT contracts had already got their free mini hub delivered and were back online. Grrr.

The only people still with a problem were the mugs who were duped into switching to EE!

Just so you know, I get these patronising messages awarding me a “badge” for posting my lamentable situation. Who in earth thought that was a good idea??

Argos or Amazon are good places to start.

Hi @LeighLady

There is the option to add Hybrid Connect when you take out the contract, where you are connected by 4G if your broadband goes down, for £7 per month.

If you don't have this, you can see options on purchasing a mini hub in our online shop. If you click into each one, there are 1 month options which would need to be cancelled with 30 days notice when not needed.
