Can Smart WiFi Pro extenders be configured individually?

The Smart WiFi Pro in my garage is great. It’s connected to my network via an underground Ethernet cable.

the WiFi coming from it is fine, but I’ve noticed that some days the WiFi devices are only 200mbps, and other days 900-1300 Mbps.

the difference seems to be that sometimes they are connected on 2.4ghz and sometimes 5ghz.

it makes absolutely no real world difference, it just annoys me. For this particular Smart Hub Pro extender there is no need for 2.4ghz ever. Is it possible to configure the Smart WiFi Pro to submit 5ghz only?

I have this exact same issue and have been encountering it for some time.

My nodes are hardwired and like yourself sometimes they are giving full 900mbps over WiFi but then sometimes as low as 250/300. Then a couple days later they’ll be back up to full speed, often when more people are connected to the network bizarrely!

makes me question the reliability of this kit a bit and I know a 3rd party option would be better but I can’t as I have DV and EE TV…

Annoying, isn’t it? I find a reboot normally does the trick but I’m not doing that a few times a week. I wish it could even be set to reboot itself at 2am in the morning but I find there is not much configurability at all with these devices.

Very! As I’m not technical enough to find out why😅 I too find a restart sends them back up to full speed but as you say shouldn’t have to restart them every other day.

Maybe a full reset is required!
