2 ways:

  1. Manually: Login to your EE Smart Hub/Router at http://192.168.1.254 with the admin password on the bottom of the slider label on the back of the router. Then on the Advanced > Advanced Wireless page you should be able to see the WiFi network SSID & password in clear & change them if you like.
  2. Auto: When you link your router with the EE app, it will give you the option to keep your WiFi network SSID & password from your old router.

what you say "

sounds like what I need, but it didn't happen.

When I connected new hub it just asked me to select a new network and enter a password.... no options about keeping the old SSID.  Can I manually trigger that question / option.

I can put old router back in if necessary

Managed to get it sorted .... the EE instructions simply did not work

Went via manual configuration in App, reset to old network ID and password.

Wifi Devices did reconnect .... annoyingly the WiFi extenders didn't so they needed re-pairing, and also the EE Digital Phones also needed repairing.

All working now on old credentials, so saved hours of fun with SMART devices and TV's
