I’m a due to switch over from talk talk to  ee tomorrow . Broadband and House phone package.  I haven’t had any contact with open reach in regards to works required

I have received the router and phone connection ready to plug in

I currently have a city fibre ont box fitted . Will this work with the ee network.  If so is this why openreach do not need to visit my home   Thanks you

You don't need to hear from OR. Tomorrow on your a 'Go Live' date OR will attend your home & discuss with you what work is to carried out taking in your preferences if possible. See the video in Help with setting up EE Full Fibre Broadband

To see if there will be any opstacles, what does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker > Address Checker estimate for your address? Post the whole table, the text below it and the line above it, blanking out your address.

@DirkDog1940 NO you will need to have an OR (Openreach Full Fibre) installation complete with a new ONT installed, otherwise if you have old FTTC copper cable and NO fibre in the area, you will be connected that way. What package do you have from EE on order.

Edit:- use the following as a search and you will see     is city fibre an altnet     if you wish to check what is required at your home us the link below, number and postcode is all that is required for checking.

BT Broadband

If you used the OTS for switching, TT should in theory keep your broadband up and working until OR establishes a connection for you which they in turn inform the ISP and EE sends you the e-mail you are now connected.
