Broadband issues

I have broadband through them with goes down constantly, they offer an engineer and all they do is a speed check and tell you "it's working fine"

Sure when it works, it works, when it's down you can't get online to DO a speed check.... because the Internet isn't working.

I have given up with broadband...it's not the fibre I paid for at all. I'd expect much more considering my whole side wall is illegally covered in high fibre cables someone decided to throw up without contacting me, and I own my house.  And they threw two lots of these ugly things up. Best thing I ever got out of EE was the look of panic in a guys face for fitting cables to my wall without notifying me and my dog knocked his ladder.

He was fine, but still. This shouldn't be acceptable at all.

I don't see "this" that you are getting at. Did you forget to post a pix?

@fatalisticdfeat    You say your broadband goes down, but not how often.

Alas if it is working when an engineer comes then it does take a bit more investigation - is it the whole broadband or just WiFi?

But also, what speed broadband do you have, and which router?

As for the wires/cables/fibres, before Openreach can run them on lots of places then need a Wayleaf or permission from the owner, but this may have been obtained when the very first cable was installed and once precendence is set they can carry on.

Anyway, is there anything anyone can help you with?

4 to 6 times a day

Always around the same times.

Yes they need permission. Didnt get it.

It's always the full WiFi, the tv everything. And an engineer came out so that ee couldn't be at fault, someone came out etc.  It went down 3 minutes ago. As normal. This time of night

I'm paying for something that should work and regardless of if cables are allowed, it wasn't allowed to be put on my wall so technically , everyone who's using this box for fibre, it doesn't mean they can keep it via my wall. (It was illegally put up and it is being fought) if it was legal I wouldn't have a few people ask for permission when I pull them for putting cables in my wall,  and them tell me " you should have got a letter but I can stop" the last guy stopped, didn't remove his reel of cable thats hanging to my door, so I myself apparently have to do that because it's "my property"

@fatalisticdfeat  fair enough, only trying to help. Don't answer the questions, your choice.

But a regular frequency and times suggest local interference, cetral heating, local street lighting or other such similar stuff, alas you dont want to share, and guessing without any real info is so tiring after a hard week.

But hey, if you ever feel like sharing .......
