Installed 14th of September. No connection to this day. Multiple restarts, Hub replacement + engineer visit. Result? No broadband. According to EE everything is fine. No its not. Wifi connection with exclamation mark, multiple DNS errors. Extremely low packets sent and received, upload 0. Also being charged for a full month without any compensation.
The most interesting thing is, just before engineer visit connection came back, barely but came back. For him to say it is connected? He left and we got cut off again. Do you play around with this EE?

Quick update. Resetting ONT resulted in an error and constant orange light. That has been passed immediately to engineer and suppliers team for an investigation by ee guide
Latest hub is white and quite tall so definitely not the one from my app

@Dad66 Just to be sure the link below shows all the current EE ones.
https://ee.co.uk/help/broadband/getting-started/compare-our-range-of-broadband-hubs
EE knows all about your ONT/ serial number etc etc and there HomeView+ software connection should get RIGHT ON it and see what is going on, When it was installed for you was it an OR Engineer that did it or some other Contractor? I have never once had to do an ONT reset but aware that it is there and if requested could be done.

@Dad66 Do you also have the other one that was sent to you? That is the reason more focused on your ONT as that PON should NOT be flashing at all, but EE could make it do so also.

Now we sent it back and kept replacement. Their system showed external fault apparently and by thursday should be investigated but it could be earlier. Will see. I just laugh atm. Nothing else I can do.
PON is solid now and hub is down through that ONT reset. PON will likely start blinking later on, like always do. I will update once they investigate. In the meantime I think I will get that tp link router again for later or if I can find cheaper alternative I will get it

@Dad66 As an Asus user cannot give you any advice, they are just not cheap that is for sure and you do need to work out what your usage is like. None off them are easier to use and EE will insist that there one is on connected for ANY support that is required, once you go third party then it all falls on the user to work out what is happening connection wise...
With a solid PON Green, switch the EE Pro hub off, leave it a minute or so and when back on within 5mins it should go up through it's boot sequence and turn Aqua solid connection....

Right. So this I have to consider when it comes to support. Well, basic use for pc, 2 phones and 2 laptops on a daily use in different rooms. Also 4k streaming. Nothing huge. And I would like to avoid these expensive routers. I saw pricing already. Sick. Thats why I ended up trying that "inexpensive" 150£ tp link which it will be probably my choice if sufficient and on cheaper side
I did turned it off now. Dont know if this matters now but its quite warm in the middle around ports and on the top. Not hot but warm. I would compare it to a laptop main spot while browsing

@Dad66 For the money then Tp-Link is the one, it does as far as i can see hold it's own.

What do you think about this one? Little bit cheaper. Previous tp link no longer on sale and is almost 200£...

@Dad66 be65 wifi 7 review and do the search have a look and make your own mind up, not going to say either way.
Is there going to be an issue for using the EE Pro version once your connection is fixed, it's a free ISP one but should be fine as a wifi 7 hub.
