Broadband Activation Date

I ordered EE broadband on 20th August for our new house that we moved into on 28th August with an activation date of 5th September. On 29/8 I get a message to call EE about my order.
The order had been cancelled somehow by the previous owners through Sky. EE then reordered but this also failed.
I spoke with various salespeople and technicians on 31/8 and was assured the problem was sorted and reordered the broadband and tv package with an activation date of 16/9.
This morning I wake up to an email saying the activation date has now changed to 27/9.
Is there anything I can do to to bring this forward as it’s difficult to be without fast reliable broadband when both my wife and I work from home.

@DC1987 You would be best to talk to EE CS again regarding all that has gone on, but looking at your proposed dates would assume that EE were blocked by sky due to the other customer cancelling dates, and your order cleared and your now activation/install date is the first available. Only they can inform you.

Thankyou Jim for your message. I have spoken with EE again and was advised to try and get the people who sold our house to get Sky to release the cease order.

Unfortunately Sky have told them that we should ask EE to install a new line as Sky are not willing to lift the cease order until 27th September. I don't think EE will do that so my only option to get fast reliable broadband before then I guess would be to join Virgin as they don't go through OpenReach.

@DC1987 It will all be down to timescales now, how quick you can get anyone to install, always issue when blocking/line take over, no easy solution. Hope you get it all sorted.
