My Brightbox 1 time settings are not syncing. They are set to ntp.readytoconnect.co.uk and show 01 Jan in log.
Can this be corrected remotely or do I call CS (or do I need a new router) ?

Have you tried a reboot?
My Brightbox 2 is showing correct time sync but its NTP Server = ntp.madesimpletechnology.com.

Yes.
The brightbox has been running for a couple of days and was reading 3rd Jan in the system log. Rebooting it resets it to 01 Jan.
