BT to EE

After being told we needed to move from BT to EE we then experienced a traumatic couple op weeks when we were sent several items we did not need nor were expecting including a tablet.  During discussions we discovered we would be paying £11 per month for something we neither requested nor required.  The sales person just sent everything he could.  After family intervened and stated we were within  we used the 14 day option we eventually had to cancel our existing contract and  and renew as a new customer.  This all involved new sim cards for our mobiles and new WiFi hub etc.

This has now all been activated but our bill shows the temporary numbers from the sims before being ported plus the sim number for the tablet. I am not prepared to spend another few hours trying to speak to a human (all emails are no-reply) but am concerned these numbers may be re-used and charged to our account.

Communication companies seem to be the worst for communication

Good afternoon @Disgusted2.

Welcome to the EE Community, and thanks for taking the time to share your experience here too.

I'm glad to hear that you've managed to get this resolved in the end, but I completely get that this has been far from the experience we'd expect when making the switch across.

With this first bill you've received, it's most likely a case of it being produced prior to the changes on the account being made.

That's why it'll still show the temporary number for now, along with the products cancelled in the first 14 days.

Whilst the full amount will be taken for this bill, our system recognises all the changes that you've made, and you'll receive an automatic adjustment for anything you were overcharged on your next bill.

This will mean that this bill will either be a bit less than usual, or if the adjustments cover more than the full balance we'll refund you the difference.

@Disgusted2 The mobile side, just let me say, that the initial bill will only have the NEW temp numbers, the second bill next month will have the New temp number and your ported PAC back with your original number, so both on that bill.

Then finally on the 3rd bill, you will see only the original number for your phone and from then onwards. Takes time for it all to be adjusted. As for the tablet hopefully they did it correct, cancelled it and the number will disappear into oblivion but that one is an unknown, HTH
