Asus ZenWifi BQ16 on EE full fibre 1.6Gbps ?

Hello,

I am expecting to switch (finally) from BT to EE’s full fibre 1.6Gbps in the next couple of weeks and looking to get the best possible router. I’d be grateful if anyone can help me in regards to using the Asus ZenWifi BQ16 for this or possibly a good alternative.
Will the Asus be working on EEs line/plan fine? There’s quite a few devices at home all of which will be using WiFi since Ethernet is not possible the way things are.

Any input, advice and suggestions will be appreciated.

@Rich20148 Nothing detailed for the XT8 in smart connect, so not much help with that. FF500 Internet for me, but Internal network is all i am concerned with speed wise and that is not an issue at all.

Speeds to aim for with me, and no issue when combined Ethernet/wireless connection transfers.Speeds to aim for with me, and no issue when combined Ethernet/wireless connection transfers.Asus MeshAsus MeshNode devices etc 1.Node devices etc 1.Node devices etc 2.Node devices etc 2.

It seems smartconnect focuses on signal strength not speed. So if 6 ghz is above a threshold it keeps the device there even if 5 ghz is faster.  Suggestions are to adjust the threshold so it swaps faster.

I am currently running the EE hub and it seems to have the same issue. iPhone at WiFi 6e in my current room is 300mbps and iPad is 800mbps. Still WiFi 6e. They cannot both be on the same band.

@Rich20148 The web manager should show you everything you need to know about the device, were it is connected and the current up/down sync speed and band it's connected too. Just click on the view list.
