Hi

Purchased EE FTTP broadband and openreach came out to assess property the next day. Thought theyd keep the setup date as the one I chose which was 16/08/2022. Assumed everything was ok until I realized just today there was an email a few days after purchase confirming the setup date to be 17th of January 2023??? Is it meant to take this long or is there something up?

Not sure if ringing them about this is futile so thought I'd bring it here first.

What does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker estimate for your phone number? Post just the whole table and the line above it, blanking out your phone number. If it doesn't recognise your phone number or you don't have one, use the Address Checker.

Well, FTTP is available there. So it shouldn't take until Jan. to install it. I should query this with CS.

Right.

Queried it with EE. Apparently the CBT isnt even installed or something for my road??? Why does the BT thing say that then? The Openreach website confirms that FTTP is available for my area as well so why is the CBT not even there?

now being told mid october as a potential date, as they push the date really far back as a "worst-case scenario" while theyre getting the work done.

Stupid. Trying to get compensation but not sure if I'll fall under it, as the first mention of a date from EE was the January 2023 date.

The "BT thing" as you put it says it because the Openreach database says so. As to why the CBT isn't installed only Openreach knows why.
