4G Connectivity Backup

Hi

I have just ordered my 4G Backup Connectivity Device and whilst waiting for it I thought I would clear some things up.

I do not use the EE SmartHub Plus WiFi but leave it turned off and use my own Deco Meshnet System - can the 4G Backup Deice connect to this.

If not can I leave the network cable plugged in and use this rather than a WiFi connection.

If yes to above does it have to be connected directly into the back of the hub or can Plug it into a network switch upstairs to get a better signal

Thanks

The Connectivity Backup device may only be used in conjunction with the supplied EE SH. It may be connected to it by either Ethernet or WiFi. See Set up Connectivity Backup . It may work thro' an Ethernet Switch. Try it!

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Home Broadband & Home Phone or Option 2 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

I am using the EE SH just not its WiFi. So as long as it will work via network cable either directly into the SH or via a switch I am happy - I just didn't want to have to turn the SH WiFi back on again!
