Hi JordanTA can you comment on why some of us had sms from EE saying back on Monday September 30th 2024 that the new kit would be with us in 4 days and yet nothing has been deliverd spoke with EE TS on the phone today and was told it's all out of stock?

I have rung multiple times now asking about the new router, no one can help been passed round 5 -6 times then get told someone will call you back which never happens. Seen it on the website under upgrades but that page (EE Broadband - Existing Customers) cannot be displayed, How do we get the new Smart Hub Pro ?

@joshcressI phoned again today as I wanted an update about the SMS people recived that stated it would be here by Friday October 4th 2024 and yet when I rang today i was passed onto New EE CS then to New EE TS and they told me that all the kit was out of stock, I was again placed on hold and after about 15mins the EE TS came back and said that i should get an email by end of day if not tomorrow and it would be here with in 7 days... so I hope they are correct as if the case is they are out of stock then I want to assume that we won't see a restock until end of October or maybe even November.

@I3Ixck i don’t think it’s out of stock. I placed an order today and apparently it’s arriving on Thursday?

....That's odd as I was told it was out of stock????

Are you already in contract with EE? or is it a new order?

@JordanTA : That's all very well! I'm sure it'll be an excellent router if it's all it's cracked up to be & suitable for all of EE's current BB offering.

But which users are entitled to receive one?

An aside: Does it incorporate a modem to cater for FTTC (VDSL2 & G.Fast) users.

Answer: No, it doesn't, having now read your linked article.

That link is a bit meh if you ask me. It focus's on 6Ghz being the game changer with WiFi 7, it isnt though. The big deal with WiFi 7 is MLO (Multi Link Operation). It enables your device to connect to and aggregate miltiple bands. For example, in teh bedroom i cannot get onto my current router 6Ghz band so my computer connects to teh 2.4 and 5Ghz band giving me a connection speed of 6104Mbps with real world throughput coming in just shy of 3000Mbps. The 6Ghz thing also launched with WiFi 6e i belive (may of been 6 thinking about it).

It also does not mention that users shopuld make sure there WiFi 7 compatible PC and laptops should be running the latest version of Windows 11 (24h2) to benefit from WiFi 7

As a side not i received my text today saying device would ship with in 24 hours on a Royal Mail standard deliver (72 Hour service) I have been a busiest Home 1.,6Gbps customer since March 10th when i moved from BT

@UkzVortex98 The NFC tag is for sharing Guest Wi-Fi details, so you'll need to enable that first before it will work.
