Welcome to the new EE… where your special upgrade offer for BT customers costs more!

@gmackay1903 Apparently so, but I think that the lack of training for the call centre staff and a premature launch can be blamed for that. When I call the phone to discuss and try to get to the bottom of it I get told that either 1)it's right and that's it , or 2)Staff are being trained on it as are systems so it'll start to show "EXCLUSIVE DEALS" shortly.

My BT has now updated, linking to this: https://www.bt.com/ee

So I think that EE have probably jumped the gun and their staff and systems have been playing catch up since.

I've been told that

1) Unlimited phone data (provided with broadband plans) is unlimited speed, a great perk of the new EE

2) Unlimited data is not unlimited speed, it's 10mb/s.

3) EE are honouring the FULL FIBRE PROMISE - if you take their package for 67MB, they will upgrade you to 100MB full fibre when available.

4) EE are not offering FULL FIBRE PROMISE, but you can always upgrade at additional cost when ready.

So as you can see, the staff are doing their best - it's a "sit back and let it settle down" before judging this!

Hi All,

What I've not been able to find out by trying to upgrade to New EE - 1.6GB FTTP is that will we be finally be offered fixed IP addresses or IPV6?

Would anyone happen to know?

Regards

John

Hi @johnels791

Welcome to the community.

Sorry about the delay I wanted to get this confirmed.

1.6GB FTTOP will support IPV6.

Katie 🙂

Hi @Katie_B Thank you very much for confirming.

I am very disappointed, I was told last night that existing customers CAN NOT upgrade, it's for new customers only. Can you confirm this is in fact the case, and not just a computer saying no to the CS agent?

I have been with Orange/T mobile/EE for many years and this wont be the first time I've seen system problems or staff not correctly trained on new products.

John

Hi @johnels791

The New EE Busiest Home Bundle is currently for new customers only. BT Broadband customers moving to New EE are not eligible for this bundle.

There are some other fantastic packages for existing customers, and we often review our plans. If you need any help with choosing a bundle, please get in touch so that we can help you.

Since the launch of "new ee" I have been unable to access the store unless I log out. Doesn't matter what device I try to login on, I just get a "client side exception" message.

Hi @Mrbiscotti

Does this happen on more than one device or browser?

Chris

Hi @Christopher_G

As said in last comment this happens on multiple devices and browsers. If I'm not logged in I can browse the store with no trouble but as soon as I log in it gives the "client side exception" error message.

Thanks

OK, thanks.

Is this for your mobile or broadband account, @mirrors90? Have you upgraded or renewed recently?

Chris

Not a problem!

I called in to see what ee can do for tv and been told to call back in Jan - sky want £130 a month for tv alone - absolutely not.

@Christopher_G um, neither or both? Like I say it's the ee store I'm having issues accessing.

OK, thanks @Mrbiscotti

It could be worth giving us a call so that we can look into this further.

Hi, I moved from BT to EE on the promise from the Agent that once I moved across, I would be able to upgrade to the 1.6Gb service.

I've since learned that you cannot re-grade me and per some messages above, I can't even get that bundle.

So, now I'm paying 71.99 per month instead of 69.99 for the same speed service.

When can I move to the 1.6Gb service and how much will it be?  I will be miffed if it is more expensive than for "new" customers as I moved ONLY to get the faster service.

Please help.

Hello @johnnyuk.

Welcome back to the community.

I would recommend giving us a call and advising the team what the agreement was for you to move from BT to EE.
