hello again
after using my phone as a hotspot, i've noticed that:
1. if i connect it by cable, connection drops and gets disconnected after a few minutes
2. as soon as i start wifi hotspot, i can see it's wifi broadcasted for a few minutes, then it goes away so i only have a few seconds to connect all my devices and then that's it. in both compatibility modes
i have 14.5.1 (the latest there is) and the same happened before and after the update too. i've mostly tried it under 5G

Hi @JohnRo79
Thanks for coming back to the community,
Have you tried the steps in the Apple Support page, to see if this helps with your Personal Hotspot?
Thanks 🙂
Leanne.

from that helpful list of tricks to do, the only think i had not tried was a network reset.
i've tried it now and it is the same: as soon as i turn hotspot on, you can see the wifi SSID for a few seconds, me devices do auto-connect (the ones that already had a connection made with it) and then it vanishes
i have a laptop left on wifi search and no trace of my SSID
i'll try and run a wifi spectrum analyzer and see if i can find it.
once you connected, connection works. just cant find it after , let's say, 10 seconds
EDIT: yes, the wifi is there on channel 149

Thanks for trying that, @JohnRo79
It may be worth speaking to our technical support team to see if they have any further troubleshooting tips.
Let us know how you get on.
